Product details

Trade name  : FARIDA TMAIC

Common name : TMAIC

Chemical name : Trimethallyl isocyanurate

Molecular Formula  : C15H21N3O3

CAS NO  : 6291-95-8

Molecular weight  : 291.35

Purity : Min 95.0%

Properties

FARIDA TMAIC is a trifunctional triazine monomer with a very low tendency to homo-polymerization and high thermal stability. Compared to other crosslinkers like TAC or TAIC,it has a lower vapour pressure even at high temperatures and is stable in the presence of water and mineral acids.

Application

Trimethallyl isocyanurate, crosslinking booster for peroxide crosslinking or electron beam crosslinking of polymers such as rubber and plastic materials with high processing temperatures. Especially, for fluorubber, polyamide and polyester.

Crosslinking with FARIDA TMAIC also improves the resistance of final products against high temperatures and/or aggressive media as they are required in automotive, aerospace, machinery and chemical processing applications. Typical examples are:

*electron beam crosslinking of PA 6, PA 12 or PBT to improve compression set, E-modulus (Elastic Modulus), aging properties and chemical resistance.

*peroxide crosslinking of FKM’s to improve mechanical properties of products that have to withstand very aggressive media like bio-diesel (e.g. fuel hoses) and meet highest automotive standards.

Packaging

On request.

Handling and Storage

FARIDA TMAIC has a low acute toxicity.

For handling regular personal protection equipment is recommended.

The material should be used within 12 months after delivery.

After longer storage times it is recommended to control the quality of FARIDA TMAIC before usage.

Store under dry conditions at temperatures below 40℃.
